The time is now!
its insane to me that with a congressional approval rating of only 13%, the people running our country still have jobs. They continue not only to blatantly attempt to take all of our civil liberties away, but try and get our consent by masking the nature of bills like SOPA. As an elected official, its your job and utmost responsibility to represent and fight for the interests of the people who elected you into office. Most officials swore an oath to protect and defend (uphold) the constitution. The problem is, when they break these oaths, we do nothing. If we want change, we must demand resignation/prosecution
To me, the best way to deal with the greed and corruption is to take every elected official out of their job, and have an entire country wide election. Let the people decide who they want in office right now.
Its crazy everyday were having to fight the people who are supposed to be the protectors of our civil liberties. The problem isnt not enough democracy, it might just be too much democracy! As the population grows, more and more people are going out to vote, but the number of politicians is fixed. The constitution mandates no more than 1 US representative for every 30,000 people. The house has 435 members, but if we used that apportionment, we would have 10,000. The same 100 senators have 300,000,000 people. It was only 4,000,000 in 1790. The point of senate is to remain constant, but we should be expanding house with the massive population influx.
The problem is accountability. The more people they are accountable to, the more people have to really care and keep them in check to matter. If 90% of people hear one soundbite and vote based on that, it won't matter what the 10% who really care think. This is why were a republic, so we can elect officials closer to home to go out and represent us. The more we feed fed power, the less accountable they become. I think we.would be better voting for a locals, and letting them do the federal voting. One person taking the job very seriously is massively more effective then 100,000 people simply casting a vote at a bare minimum interest. The time is now to join together and fight the power Until next time my little lovelies <3 ACFriday, January 20, 2012
Purple hair (2012 trend!)
Hey my little lovelies.
A hot trend I'm freaking obsessed with right now is the lilac/lavender hair. While pastel hair has been trending the past year (mostly in shades of pink) I'm love love loving the purple! Its popping op up everywhere... Check it on the one and only Kelly Osbourne :

This hairstyle most definitely isn't for all if us ladies, but you can incorporate a little lavender in your name with one quick, temporary, inexpensive way... with a clip in extension! Hot topic has a great brand for under five bucks an extension!

Well hello lovelies<3
As a first time blogger, and recently mama, I can't help but be excited by all the possibilities. Maybe one day I'll be writing about the fashion trends of 2012, the next the newest music that catches my attention, and the next, a funny story about my baby boy.
Its an exciting time not only in my life, but in OUR lives collectively. With it being an election year, a summer olympic year, and apparently, the end of humanity as a whole (thanks for the panic,Mayans), this new year should prove to be an interesting one.
Join me?
Always love
